Our Story

How We Got Started

Founded in 2006, Rocky Mountain Ecology, LLC (RME) is a highly qualified environmental consulting firm with extensive experience in conducting project management, environmental review, and NEPA compliance on wide-ranging projects throughout the Rocky Mountains and Southwestern States.

Over the past two decades our firm has completed over 2,000 projects in the private, state, and federal sectors, building a reputation for excellence and reliability in environmental consulting.

What Sets Us Apart

Our staff includes multiple Planners, Foresters, Wildlife Biologists, Plant Ecologists, and Geospatial Specialists with extensive NEPA experience. We have collaboratively prepared multiple Forest Management Plans and Forest Stewardship Stand Exams for Private Landowners, NMDOT, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and New Mexico State Land Office.

Our services and project experience span energy, transportation, land management, recreation, and ecological restoration on landscape, forest, and urban scales.

Nine years of experience leading biological, ecological, and implementation projects. Expertise in team leadership, large-scale forest plan development, and grant production.

Field Operations Coordinator

Over eight years coordinating fieldwork across a six-state region. Brings extensive experience in field operations, logistical support, and team coordination for inventory and mapping contracts.

Lead Biologist

Experienced wildlife biologist with broad expertise in wildlife and plant ecology, including endangered species monitoring for Mojave Desert tortoise, southwestern willow flycatcher, and Mexican spotted owl.
